The proceedings of the Lok Sabha were adjourned for almost 50 minutes on Monday when opposition members shouted slogans on the alleged horse trading and other issues in Karnataka. As soon as the question hour began, KC Venugopal (Kang) alleged that the BJP has started "Operation Lotus" in Karnataka and is trying to give the bribe to convert the legislators to favor. He alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP chief Amit Shah were named after attempts to give a bribe to JD (S) MLAs.

Rejecting the allegations of Venugopal, the BJP members retreated. Soon, Congress members were holding slogans of the Vel Horse and planks were criticized for "horse trading". He was joined by TDP MPs. Trinamool Congress members came to Vile with other opposition members and sloganeering. But the issue they were opposed to could not be heard in dinner. At around 11.10 am, Speaker Sumitra Mahajan adjourned the House till noon.
