India, Japan sign MoU on investment in Gujarat

India and Japan signed a Memorandum on Understanding on investments in Gujarat during the state visit of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. 

The MoU included India-Japan Investment Promotion Road map between Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP), India and Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), Japan in order to  facilitate and accelerate the Japanese investments in India. 

Also under Japan-India special programme for Make In India, a MoC between METI and the State of Gujarat was signed which aims to cooperate infrastructure development program in the Mandal Bechraj-Khoraj region of Gujarat.
