The country's largest steel producer Cel said that on Thursday, it produced 55,282 tonnes of 'Hot Metal' in a day. This is the highest production ever made by the company in a single day. The public sector company said on Friday, the Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) produced 55,282 tonnes of hot metal on December 13, which is the highest production in one day.
Earlier, on November 24, SAIL had produced 54,786 tonnes of the most. The company said that it is increasing production through its new plants. The company has introduced new Blind furnaces in its Rourkela, IISCO and Bhilai plants. Rourkela Steel Plant of SAIL has also made a new record of 13,501 tonnes of hot metal production on Thursday.
