The Representative Association of Executives (RAEB) in BSNL has opposed the privatization of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), as per reports available to Bureaucracy Today. The decision was opposed in the State Circle Meeting of RAEB Andhra Pradesh.
RAEB All India General Secretary K Sebastian demanded that the government withdraw the proposals for handing over the towers to private companies.
“We will launch a two-day strike on December 12 and 13 by staging a protest against the Central government’s proposal against splitting of BSNL into separate wings. We will launch agitations with all the employee unions of 250 PSUs under the aegis of All India National Confederation of Officers’ Association (AINCOA),” he explained.
