State-run Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has introduced Voice & Data Centric Plan 429 for unlimited voice and 1 GB data per day for 90 days under prepaid mobile services to take on Airtel and Jio's latest and upcoming plans.
This plan is gives free voice (Local/STD) on any network and 90 GB data ( @ 1 GB per day) for 90 days on PAN India basis (except Kerala Circle), the PSU said..
R K Mittal, Director (CM) BSNL Board said this Voice & Data Centric Plan is available for Rs. 429/ Rs. 143/ per month which gives unlimited voice (Local/STD) on any net and 90 GB data ( @ 1 GB per day) for 90 days, which is the most competitive plan in present market scenario. .
BSNL’s new offer comes as rivals Airtel and Reliance Jio have launched a slew of data and voice plans for its prepaid users.
Airtel’s plans varies from circle to circle. In case of Delhi-NCR, the offers start for as low as Rs 5 and go up to Rs 399. There’s a Rs 349 recharge with unlimited local and STD calls along with 28GB of data (1GB per day FUP ) for a period of 28 days. The Rs 399 plan from Airtel offers unlimited local, STD calls on Airtel and free roaming outgoing calls along with 28GB data (FUP is 1GB per day) for a period of 28 days.
There is Jio’s feature phone plans are Rs 153 a month and voice is free unlimited 4G data with FUP of 500MB per day and free voice calls and SMS benefits. Additionally, there is also sachet recharges of Rs 24 for two days validity and Rs 54 for a week long validity. The feature phone also comes bundled with Jio apps like Jio TV, Jio Cinema, Jio Music and other apps. JioPhone can also be connected to the large-screen television via a provided cable and users can stream live TV using the Jio TV app. The phone is one of the biggest bets from the company since it rolled out its 4G-only service last year.
Jio Phones will be shipped from September 24 onwards.
