Sushma Swaraj's visit to Mongolia

Upon being invited by Mongolian Foreign Minister Damdin Tsogtbaatar, Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj paid the first ever official visit in the last 42 years to Mongolia on April 25-26, 2018.

In due course of her visit, the EAM held talks with her Mongolian counterpart and called on the Mongolian President Khaltmaagiin Battulga, Prime Minister Ukhnaagin Khurelsukh and Mieyegombo Enkhbold, Speaker of the Mongolian Parliament called Great Khural. Apart from calling on the above mentioned dignitaries, Swaraj also co-chaired the 6th India-Mongolia Joint Committee on Cooperation Meeting with the other chairperson being Tsogtbaatar on April 25, 2018 wherein both the Foreign Ministers discussed issues related to political, strategic, trade and economic, cultural and educational cooperation as well as reviewed the progress on various projects announced by the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi upon his visit to the host country.
