India signs MoUs with France

During the State visit of French President to India, various Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed between the two countries. 

These include an agreement on the prevention of illicit consumption & reduction of illicit traffic in narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances & chemical precursors & related offences signed by Home Minister Rajnath Singh and France's Minister for Europe & Foreign Affairs, Jean-Yves Le Drian; India-France Migration & Mobility Partnership Agreement signed by External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Jean-Yves Le Drian; agreement to facilitate mutual recognition of academic qualifications signed by HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar and France's Minister of Higher Education, Research & Innovation, Fredrique Vidal; MoU between Ministry of Railways & SNCF Motilities, France, on technical cooperation in the field of Railways signed by Piyush Goyal, Minister for Railways and Jean-Yves Le Drian; Letter of Intent for creation of a permanent Indo-French Railways Forum signed by Piyush Goyal and Jean-Yves Le Drian; agreement regarding the provision of reciprocal logistics support between their Armed Forces signed by Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and France's Minister for the Armed Forces, Florence Parly; MoU on cooperation in the field of environment signed by MoS for Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Dr. Mahesh Sharma and Brune Poirson, MoS attached to the Minister for the Ecological & Inclusive Transition; agreement on cooperation in the field of sustainable urban development signed by Hardeep Singh Puri, MoS for the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs and Brune Poirson; agreement regarding the exchange & reciprocal protection of classified or protected information signed by Ajit Doval, NSA & Philippe Etienne, Diplomatic Advisor to the French President; Implementing Arrangement between Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and Central National D’Etudes Spatiales (CNES) for pre-formulation studies of a Maritime Awareness Mission signed by K. Sivan, Secretary, Department of Space & Chairman ISRO & Jean-Yves Le Gall, President CNES; Industrial Way Forward Agreement between Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd, and EDF, France, signed by Sekhar Basu, Secretary, Department of Atomic Energy and Jean Bernard Levy, CEO, EDF; Bilateral Arrangement on cooperation in the matter of Hydrography and Maritime Cartography signed by Vinay Kwatra, Ambassador of India & Alexander Ziegler, Ambassador of France; Credit Facility Agreement between India and France of Euros 100 million for funding of the Smart City Projects through a Challenge Process signed by Vinay Kwatra, Ambassador of India & Alexander Ziegler, Ambassador of France and MoU between National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE), Ministry of New & Renewable Energy and the National Solar Energy Institute (INES), France, signed by Vinay Kwatra, Ambassador of India and Vinay Kwatra,  Ambassador of India.
