Namgyal is now Indian Amb to Poland

Tsewang Namgyal (IFS: 1992), has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of Poland. He was earlier serving as Ambassador of India to Cuba since November 26, 2015. He is expected to take up his new appointment soon.

Namgyal is a University of Delhi graduate with a Post Graduate level degree in the field of Economics for the Delhi School of Economics. He joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1992 and since then, he has been posted as Third Secretary in the Indian Embassy at Cairo, Second/First Secretary in the Indian Embassy at Tunis, First Secretary in the Indian Embassy at Brussels, Counsellor in the Indian Embassy at Manila and Deputy High Commissioner in the Indian High Commission at Singapore. He also served in the Indian Headquarters as Director (Afghanistan and Iran), PIA Division in the Ministry of External Affairs.
