Labour MoS to attend G20 Meet, Germany

The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Bandaru Duttatreya, will be leading the Indian delegation to the G20 Labour and Employment Ministers’ Meet, scheduled on May 18-19, 2017 at Bad Neuenahr in Germany.

The G20 Labour & Employment Track has been discussing topics like “Shaping the Future of Work”, “Reducing Gender Gaps in Labour Force Participation”, “Labour Market Integration of Regular Migrants and Recognized Refugees”, “Decent Work in Global Supply Chains”, and Boosting Youth Employment”. 

The G20 Labour and Employment Ministerial Declaration is likely to be adopted at the end of this meeting, which will be presented to the Leaders and Heads of the State summit scheduled on July 7-8, 2017 in Hamburg, Germany.  

Duttatreya is being accompanied by M Sathiyavathy, Secretary in the Ministry of Labour & Employment; Rajit Punhani, Joint Secretary and Director General, Labour Welfare; SK Sashi Kumar, Senior Fellow; VV Giri, National Labour Institute, Noida; and C Sudarshan Reddy, Private Secretary to the Labour and Employment Minister.
