Year-long celebrations were launched recently in New Delhi to observe the 70th Anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between India and Russia, Bureaucracy Today has learnt.
The launch function included the launch of a calendar of commemorative events, and release of a documentary on ‘India-Russia 70 years of diplomatic relations’.
Both countries have decided to celebrate the 70th Anniversary in a befitting manner.
Towards this end, a Roadmap of Events had been adopted in October 2016 at the 17th India-Russia Annual Summit in Goa. As part of the 70th Anniversary celebrations, more than a 100 events will span the year long celebrations and cover diverse areas of India - Russia bilateral collaboration.
Diplomatic relations between India and Russia began on April 13, 1947.
