Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has been awarded “CSR Excellence Awards 2017” under the CSR Practice of the Year category for its contribution in the area of health & hygiene.
TKM had provided sanitation facilities through “A Behavioural Change Demonstration” (ABCD) initiative, a comprehensive project conceptualised and implemented by the company, Bureaucracy Today has learnt.
The Vice-President of Toyota Kirloskar Motor, Naveen Soni, said: “This award recognises TKM's immense efforts to bring a larger sustainable difference in the lives of the people. At Toyota, we have embodied the core principles of CSR, as a part of our business operations and we are strongly committed towards the holistic societal development through manufacturing.”
With the implementation of the ABCD project in 2015, the Company has constructed nearly 762 sanitation units for girl child till date that has benefited 42,059 school children., TKM said in an official statement.
