BSNL has jumped into the per day GB data fray with the PSU launching an unlimited calling offer at Rs 339 offering 2GB 3G data a day with a validity of 28 days.
It gives 56 GB 3G data for 28 days at Rs 339 with unlimited calls to BSNL network and 25 minutes of free calls to other networks a day. Though the BSNL data is 3G and Airtel and Jio offers are in 4G, BSNL can position its Rs 339 56 GB plan as more or less comparable theirs in terms of download speed as in India consistent connectivity and disruptions in downloads are common to 3G and 4G networks alike.
"Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has introduced a special promotional offer under prepaid mobile services with effect from March 16 for the period of 90 days on PAN India basis," RK Mittal, Director (CM) BSNL said in a statement.
The benefits customer will get under the Combo STV of Rs. 339/ are unlimited calls in BSNL network and unlimited data with fair use policy of 2 GB/day with validity of 28 days. The data of 2GB / day is one of the best in the industry. The free calls to other network will be for 25 minutues / day and after that the charges will be @ 25 paisa / min." , the PSU said in a statement.
BSNL has launched this promotional pack for Rs 339 without any special membership unlike Jio Prime connection for three months for its prepaid mobile users .
The plan offers 56 GB 3G data in 28 days for Rs 339. In the almost same price range, BSNL offer is double in terms of data. Reliance Jio is offering 1GB of 4G data per day and unlimited calling to all network for free till March 31. From April 1 onward, Reliance Jio customers opting for Jio Prime service will get unlimited data and calls till March 31, 2018, for one time registration fee of Rs 99 and Rs 303 per month. Jio also has a Rs 499 Jio Prime recharge pack, which provides 56GB data to prepaid users, with daily cap of 2GB. Postpaid customers get 60GB of 4G data for the billing cycle, with the FUP set at 2GB per day.
Airtel In the same space is offering a Rs. 345 recharge pack that provides prepaid users with 28GB of high-speed data for 28 days. While the daily FUP is set at 1GB, customers will be able to use only 500MB of data during the day, while the remaining 500MB allotted for the 12am to 6am period. Those who want to skip the restriction of timings can go for the Rs. 549 recharge pack, which comes with 1GB daily FUP, but no limits based on timings.
Airtel Surprise pack offers 30GB of free data for 90 days to postpaid users. The Airtel postpaid users will get 10GB of data per month under this plan, with no daily limits on data consumption. To claim this offer, customers need to go to the My Airtel App and then the data is credited soon after the customer claims the 'Airtel Surprise'. Users have until March 31 to claim the free 30GB data.
