Maruti Suzuki Swift crosses 2 million unit sales milestone

When launched in 2005, Maruti Suzuki Swift Single changed fortunes for Indian automotive when a new appeal was made in the upcoming aging Maruti Range. And after being consistently the best seller for the automaker, now the prestigious hatchback in its third generation has crossed 2 million sales units - or 20 million sales units - the milestone. Earlier this year,Maruti Suzuki had crossed the entire 20 million sales unit milestone. Earlier this year, Maruti Suzuki Alto had crossed 3.5 million points, making it the best-selling car in India.

As we mentioned previously, the Maruti Suzuki Swift was launched in 2005 and in September 2010 the first milestone of half a million units came in September 2010. In September 2013, the sale of millions of units of landmark was achieved, followed by a 1.5 million sales milestone in March 2016. Swift has always been a top seller for Maruti Suzuki with Alto and Dazir - who was originally called Swift Dzire,For the first two generations of which The new Swift was launched at the 2018 Indian Auto Expo and was impressed with its generally playful display and interior interior features.

Maruti Suzuki Swift currently offers both petrol and diesel engines and both engines match the 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT gearbox. 12 engine of petrol engine, 12 engine has been tried and tested, which has 82 bhp peak power whereas diesel engine is 1.3 liters DDIS motor which creates 74 bhp peak power. Both petrol and diesel engines are fuel efficient and offer 22 kmph and 28.4 kilometers respectively.
