From now on, passengers travelling with Air India won’t be given any waiver on the ticket cancellation fee, preferred seat or change of travel date any more as the misuse of this waiver is causing loss to the airline.  The airline has issued an order asking the airport manager and sales staff not to waive these charges.

“It has been decided that no waiver of preferred seat/ date change/ no show/ cancellation/ reissuance/ refund etc charges shall be accorded at any level except in cases of rebooking of passengers of disrupted fights, passengers who missed connections or complaint resolution in customer services sections.”, states an order issued by Air India to its regional managers.
