BSNL’s biz email hosting offer @ Rs1 a day

State run telecom major Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has started  offering enterprise email hosting services on the domain of customer’s choice at Rs 365 per email ID with 1 GB storage to ensure privacy and security of their data and also to target new revenue sources.

The company has started hosted enterprise email to host email accounts on the domain of customer’s choice.  The entire focus of BSNL is to provide secured email environment where email are available only to the intended user. All enterprise Email accounts comes with SSL, TLS support and Dual authentication to make it hacker free email account, the PSU said.

BSNL's secured email service also bundles anti-spam filter and virus cleaning FREE, which is very much essential for corporate email service. Now customers can host emails at their own domains @ Rs 365 per email ID with 1GB storage and @ Rs 999 per email ID with 10GB storage and will get all unique features with security of their data, it said

The public carrier has launched the services at a time when online data privacy is already a raging issue with the leakage of sensitive personal and official informations.   
"Our email offering is very secured and emails are not scanned like other email hosting players. Email Solution do not allow anyone including email administrator to monitor / look into any email account. Entire email solution is hosted in BSNL Network, giving lawful rights and access speed at its best.” N K Mehta, Director (CFA/EB), BSNL said.

This facility can be taken by existing BSNL Customers or any other customer who wishes to have email on his domain. BSNL email platform is capable to offer facilities --     Sending Group Mails,    Schedule Mails,  Merging Mail accounts,   Send large sized attachments via Links,    Mail / Folder Sharing and many more,   Delivery and Read Receipt,     Mobile App for easy access.

Using the email merging capabilities provided with Xgen Plus email service, the administrator can merge two email accounts, or in case the said mail also contains personal or irrelevant communication, two or more folders of different email accounts, letting the communication flow uninterrupted.
